  • 1927 - Jimmie Rodgers auditioned for Ralph Peer of the Victor Talking Machine Company in Bristol, TN.
  • 1955 - Bill Haley filed suit against his former label, Essex Records, claiming they were releasing older records of his of inferior quality.
  • 1960 - Mickey and Sylvia were convinced to reunite, although only for a short time, by Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore of RCA.
  • 1963 - The Beatles played their final performance at the Cavern Club
  • 1964 - The Country Music Association was officially established with the state of Tennessee.
