  • 1958 - Researchers from Esso warned that rock & roll music could make driving more expensive as the beat may contribute to a heavy foot on the pedals.
  • 1961 - Spade Cooley suffered a heart attack while incarcerated for the murder of his wife.
  • 1968 - Robin Gibb collapsed from nervous exhaustion just as the Bee Gees were about to start their first U.S. tour.
  • 1975 - Elvis Presley gave away 14 Cadillacs
  • 1976 - John Lennon was finally given a green card by the U.S. government after four years of litigation.
