  • 1965 - The FBI went to Wand Records for their investigation into the lyrics of Louie Louie.
  • 1967 - The Beatles held a press conference for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
  • 1967 - Ralph Stanley had his first recording session as a solo artist.
  • 1975 - Elton John's Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy is the first album to be certified gold on its release day.
