Remembering Linda Jansen, the Lead Singer on the First Two Hits by the Angels

Linda Jansen, the singer who led the all-female vocal group the Angels during their early career, died on Tuesday (February 19, 2019) according to the band's Facebook page.

The original lead singer for The Angels, Linda Jansen passed suddenly today. She was the lead singer on our first two hits, Cry Baby Cry, and Till.
She left the group in 1962 to pursue other career opportunities.

Bibs, Jiggs, and Peggy wish the most sincere condolences to the Russo and Jankowski families.

We will miss you today, yesterday, and tomorrow.

Love You!!!

Jansen joined the group after original lead singer Lynda Malzone left but went solo in late 1962 after having success with their first two records. She was replaced by Peggy Santiglia who sang lead on the group's biggest hit, My Boyfriend's Back.
