- 1960 - Dick Clark admitted to congress that he made money from one-quarter of the songs played on American Bandstand.
- 1961 - The Beatles debuted at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.
- 1963 - The Beatles and the Rolling Stones met for the first time in West London.
- 1969 - Mick Jagger sent a letter to Andy Warhol with concerns over the complexity of reproducing album covers. Warhol was working on the packaging for Sticky Fingers.
