Ed Sullivan DVD's of Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Supremes and the Temptations Being Upgraded to Hi-Def

A series of DVD's taken from the archive of the Ed Sullivan show are being upgraded from standard to hi-def for release on May 25 by SOFA Entertainment/UMe.

Three of the sets revolve around Elvis Presley while there are single sets for the Beatles, the Supremes and the Temptations.
  • Just Elvis: All His Ed Sullivan Show Performances includes the fifteen songs done by Presley on his three appearances on the show between September 1956 and January 1957. Included is his final performance that was shot from the waist up to quell problems with the CBS censors. 
  • The Three Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Featuring Elvis Presley - This 2-DVD collection includes all three shows with Presley complete with all other guests. Along with Elvis, there are appearances from the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson, Charles Laughton and Carol Burnett and Senor Wences. Also included are bonus features with Elvis in Houston, TX, home movies, and a documentary on Elvis and Sullivan.. 
  • Elvis: The Great Performaces branches out from just Sullivan content to include three documentaries on the King of Rock and Roll on two DVDs.

    • Bonus features include interviews with Scotty Moore & D.J. Fontana, Sam Phillips, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
  • The Four Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Featuring The Beatles - Spanning 1964 and 1965, the DVD includes all twenty songs performed by the Beatles plus all of Ed's other guests. 
  • The Best of the Supremes on The Ed Sullivan Show - Includes 22 performances by the group plus the one appearance by the Supremes on the show after Diana Ross went solo.
  • The Best of the Temptations on The Ed Sullivan Show - The best of the Temptations appearances on the show from 1967 to 1971.
