Gorillaz Win British Group, Foo Fighters Take International Group at the Brit Awards

Music's big night in Britain is over with the 2018 Brit Awards coming to a close.

Dua Lipa and Stormzy were the big winners with Lipa taking British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough and Stormzy winning Male Solo Artist and Album of the Year for Gang Signs & Prayer.

Rag 'N' Bone Man won best British Single for "Human".

Best British group went to Gorillaz with lead Damon Albarn accepting after reportedly spending a good deal of time at the venue bar. His speech included a little dig at Brexit.  "I’ve got one thing to say and it’s about this country. Believe it or not, it’s a small, little thing but a lovely place, part of a beautiful world. Don’t let it become isolated. Don’t let yourselves get cut off. Considering our size, we do some great things in music. We got a lot of soul. Don’t let politics get in the way of that shit."

On the International front, Lorde received the International Female Solo Artist, Kendrick Lamar the Male Solo Artist award and the Foo Fighters took the International Group.
