Joe Walsh has signed over his songwriting catalog to Sony/ATV Music Publishing for an undisclosed amount.

The Walsh catalogue dates back to the 70s with his early James Gang and Barnstorm songs before he went solo and then joined the Eagles.

In a statement Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO Martin Bandier said, “Joe Walsh is a musical giant and we are honored that he is entrusting his incredible catalog of songs with Sony/ATV. I know all our guitar-playing executives – and there are many of them – look at him as a hero, but he is not only one of the all-time great guitarists but a terrific songwriter as well.”

Joe Walsh released his 11th solo album, Analog Man, in 2012. He also recorded three James Gang albums, two Barnstorm albums and three studio album with Eagles.

Joe Walsh has also appeared on albums by Foo Fighters, Ringo Starr, Bob Seger, Richard Marx, Steve Winwood, Michael McDonald, Lionel Richie, Warren Zevon, Andy Gibb, Billy Preston, America, Dan Fogelberg and BB King.
