Black Label Society Has Fourth Biggest Selling Album of the Week

by VVN Music

Black Label Society, the heavy metal band fronted by Zakk Wylde, has the fourth biggest selling album of the week according to the projections at Hits.

Grimmest Hits, their tenth studio album, sold 15,200 copies last week to put it behind Fall Out Boy, The Greatest Showman soundtrack and the latest Kidz Bop collection but, as happens so often with veteran artists, streaming did almost nothing to boost their numbers.  With only 500 additional units from streaming, the album drops to 29 on the overall chart.

Three Def Leppard albums made the top 50 in sales, Hysteria (7,000 units / #16), Pyromania (4,900 / 26) and Vault: Def Leppard's Greatest Hits (4,300 / #29). Only Hysteria made the Sales + Streaming chart (now known as the Hits 50) at number 47.

Glen Hansard had the only other new album of note with Between Two Shores which comes in at 42 on the Sales chart with 3,000 units.

The final chart positions will be announced on Tuesday.
