Anita Baker Comes Out of Retirement For Final Tour

Almost one year ago, Anita Baker announced via Twitter that she was retired from music.

Yesterday (January 1), she made it clear that she was not QUITE done yet, saying that "Farewell Concert Series" will start in March.

Since her 1983 debut album, The Songstress, Baker has only released six sets including 1988's Giving You the Best That I Got which reached number 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the R&B Albums. Her last album was 2004's My Everything.

Barker reached the top ten on the Hot 100 twice ("Sweet Love" (1986 / #8 Pop / #2 R&B / #3 Adult Contemporary) and "Giving You the Best That I Got" (1988 / #3 Pop / #1 R&B / #1 AC)) along with ten additional top tens on R&B and five on Adult Contemporary.
