Watch: Whitesnake Releases Video For Their Live Version of Deep Purple's "Burn"

Whitesnake went in the studio two years ago to record The Purple Album, a tribute to the Deep Purple Mk. III & IV eras when band member David Coverdale was a member of Purple.

The album did well in Europe, peaking at 2 in Finland, 13 in Germany and 18 in the U.K., but did less well in the U.S. where it only made it to 87.  Still, the band put on a successful tour around the album which has been captured on the The Purple Tour which will be out January 19.

Both the original album and the live set open with the 1974 Deep Purple classic "Burn" and, to promote the new set, they're released a video of the track:
