Mariah Carey is Getting a Second Chance On "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve"

by VVN Music

The reason for watching ABC this New Year's Eve just went up exponentially.

For those who don't remember, Mariah Carey performed on the program last year just before midnight, taking the stage for possibly the most disastrous performance of her career. She said she couldn't here the music in her earpiece, so she tried to mime along for a short time before just giving up and standing there.

Here's a fan shot video from last year:

Words flew afterwards with Carey saying that her show had been sabotaged by ABC, citing an unsatisfactory run through earlier in the day.  ABC disputed the comments, calling them "defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd."

Well, according to TMZ, Carey and ABC have made up and given her a second chance this year. Sources within the network told the site that Carey would be the "featured performer" for the show.

Others set to perform are Britney Spears, Camilla Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland.
