Vintage Video: Crystal Gayle & Andy Gibb Duet on Gayle's Hit "If You Ever Change Your Mind"

Crystal Gayle is Loretta Lynn's sister, but you would never know it from their singing styles.  While Lynn is very much classic country, Gayle had a sophisticated pop-oriented sound.

Gayle had her first charting country record in 1970 with "I've Cried (The Blue Right Out of My Eyes)" but it wasn't until four years later that she hit the top ten for the first time with "Wrong Road Again".  In total, she scored 30 top ten country hits with sixteen of them topping the Country Singles chart.

One of those came 37 years ago today, November 29, 1980, with "If You Ever Change Your Mind". Written by Parker McGee and Bob Gundry, the song also went to number 18 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
