Set List: Bruce Springsteen's First Preview of "Springsteen on Broadway"

by VVN Music
Bruce Springsteen played his first preview of his 18-week run of Springsteen on Broadway at the Walter Kerry Theatre in New York on Tuesday night.  The show officially opens next Tuesday (October 12).

Bruce is normally known for mixing his set list up every night but, for the Broadway show, he has said that things will be much more strict.

Loosely based on his autobiography, Born to Run, the show includes music from throughout his career sequenced in what appears to be the order of a biographical narrative. While reviews are normally not published until opening night, it is expected that Bruce will be doing some storytelling between songs which may be the reason for the rather paltry fifteen song set.

On Tuesday, Bruce's wife, Patty Scialfa, joined him for two songs, "Tougher Than the Rest" and "Brilliant Disguise".

The set list:
  • Growin' Up (from Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ, 1973)
  • My Hometown (from Born in the U.S.A., 1984)
  • My Father's House (from Nebraska, 1982)
