Bob Seger is Recovering From Surgery

by VVN Music

In early October, Bob Seger postponed nineteen dates of his Runaway Train Tour due to reported back problems.

It turns out that the singer had a pinched vertebra in his neck and, on Friday (October 20), he underwent surgery to correct the situation.

On Monday (October 23) afternoon, Seger's management team posted an update on his Facebook page:

Bob is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery on Friday to address the medical issue causing the postponement of his tour. According to his doctors the surgery “couldn’t have gone better.” Bob wants to thank all his fans for the outpouring of well wishes and support. We hope to have news regarding dates for the tour soon.

Seger's new album, I Knew You When, is due on November 17 via Capitol Records. It is the eighteenth studio album of his career dating back to his 1969 debut Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.
