Who fans got a double dose of good new son Tuesday (August 1) with a new collection of the band singles and reissues of Pete Townshend's three Scoop series albums.
Maximum A's & B's is a five-CD collection of the band's singles, both sides, that had previously been issued on the four massive "singles boxes". Included are some of the Who's best known songs along with album rarities and a few songs that were never released beyond 45's.
The CD's are housed in separate wallets in a rigid "lift off" type box. A 48-page booklet annotates each of the tracks by a number of experts on the band with period photos and memorabilia. Release is set for October 27.
