by VVN Music

A 2011 collection of John Denver hits has hit a new high this week on the British Albums chart.

The Ultimate Collection returns to the top 100 albums for the first time since November of 2012 at number 5, beating its number 7 debut the week it was released.  Since then, it charted for nine weeks in 2011 and four weeks in 2012.

Jay-Z moves 3 to 6 in his second week with 4:44 while the Foo Fighters go 14 to 17 with their Greatest Hits.  They are the only three veteran artists this week in the British top twenty.

Status Quo premiers at 24 with The Last Night of the Electrics, the live album of what was supposed to be their last electric concert; however, they have decided to go out once again as an electric band this fall. It's their seventh live album to chart in the U.K. and the second highest after 1977's Live! which peaked at 3.

At 80 is the debut of Donny Osmond's live album One Night Only from his 2017 appearance at the Birmingham NEC.

The Vamps top the album chart with Night and Day followed by Ed Sheeran's Divide, Rag'N'Bone Man's Human, Bugzy Malone's King of the North and Denver.

The soundtrack to Baby Driver has jumped to number 1 on the Vinyl Albums and remains at the top of the Soundtrack LPs. Glen Campbell stays at the helm on American and Country Artist Albums.

The Rolling Stones' Blue & Lonesome returns to the top of the Jazz & Blues chart. In it's 33 week of release, it has been at the top of this chart for the majority of time.

DJ Khaled Featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller's Wild Thoughts unseats Despacito which drops to number 2 after nine non-consecutive weeks at number 1. They are followed by Unforgettable by French Montana Featuring Swae Lee, Feels by Calvin Harris, Pharrell, Katy Perry and Big Sean and Mama by Jonas Blue Featuring William Singe.

Despacito remains at the top of the Streaming, Sales and Downloads while The Charlatans are at number 1 on the Physical and Vinyl Singles with Different Days.
