Insane Clown Posse Devotee Arrested For Threatening Radio Station Employees With Axe

by VVN Music

Juggalos, the devotees of Insane Clown Posse, have been know for years to be a bit over the top, so much so that the government had placed them on their criminal street gang list.

Violent J and 2 Dope, the duo that makes up ICP, have also insisted that these people are simple fans and, in no way, belong on the government list.

Well, one of those fans may have backed up the government position earlier today when he held off police for three hours with an axe at radio station KISS 108 in Boston.

The man, identified at Richard Newton (38), arrived at the station around 1:30 Tuesday (July 11) afternoon, went into the building, approached the receptionist and requested the the ICP song My Axe while, at the same time, showing her a large axe.

After making the request, he went back to his car but police were already on the scene. Newton rammed one of the cars, threw his axe out the window and holed up in the auto with a number of knives.

For the next three hours, SWAT officers negotiated with Newton and, at one point he got out of the car announcing "I guess you're just going to have to kill me" before making his way back inside.

Newton eventually surrendered and was taken to the hospital for mental evaluation.

So far, no comment from ICP.
