The nominations for the 74th Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday morning by Don Cheadle, Laura Dern and Anna Kendrick.

Leading the nominations was the upcoming musical La La Land with seven nods including Best Picture Comedy/Musical, Actor (Ryan Gosling), Actress (Emma Stone) and Director (Damien Chazelle).

Among the nominees in the two music categories were a number of recording artists who have crossed over into the field of film. Pharell Williams was nominated for the score of Hidden Figures, the story of three African-American women who were mathematicians at Langley Research Center during the early days of the space program.
