Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Keith Urban All Hold in Australian Top Ten

by VVN Music

Three veteran artists are holding well on this weeks Australian Albums chart.

Last week's number 2 album, California by Blink-182 falls just one spot to 3, beat out by last week's chart topper, Delta Goodrum's Wings of the Wild, which falls to 2, and the new number 1, Wildflower by the Avalanches.

The Avalanches are an Australian electronic group that formed in 1997, releasing their first EP, El Producto in December of that year. Before Wildflower, they had released five EP's and only one other album, 2000's Since I Left You.

Wildflower is also doing well in the rest of the world including Britain where it opened at number 10 and the U.S. where Hits Daily Double has projected it will start in the top 15.

Filling out the Austalian top five is Adele's 25 and Beyonce's Lemonade.

Also in the top ten are the Red Hot Chili Pepper's The Getaway, which falls 4 to 6, and Keith Urban's Ripcord, which is steady at 7 and continues to top the Country Albums chart.

There are no veteran artist debuts for the week. The Red Hot Chili Pepper's Greatest Hits moves from 14 to 12 and continues to top the Catalog Albums while Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool falls from the top ten to number 13.

On the Australian singles chart, The Veronica's In My Blood continues its run at number 1 followed by Drake's One Dance, Calvin Harris' This is What You Came For, Shawn Mendes' Treat You Better and Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling!.

Bob Dylan's Fallen Angels is once again number 1 on the Australian Jazz & Blues chart.
