Rumor Mill: Talking Heads Recording New Album, Will Tour

There are a number of reports around the internet that the Talking Heads are in the studio recording a new album with plans to tour starting in late 2017.

David Byrne, Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz formed the band in 1975 and, over the next thirteen years, recorded eight studio albums with such classic songs as Psycho Killer, Once in a Lifetime, Life During Wartime and Burning Down the House. Since that time, David Byrne has forged a successful solo career while Frantz and Weymouth formed Tom Tom Club.

At this point, there is no confirmation of the reunion; however, there are more and more reports that are pointing in that direction. Back on May 25, Joe Rock of WMMO in Orlando, FL posted "Rumor has it Talking Heads (official) are in the studio working on a new album and planning a tour for 2017. What other bands would you like to see reunite and tour? - Joe Rock"

Yesterday, Media Mass reported that a source had told them that the band have as many as eight songs in the can. "It’s still in the early stages. They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper."

The site also contacted a rep for the band who said they had no knowledge of a new album or tour.
