Shirley Manson of Garbage & Paul Stanley of KISS Speak Out Against Kanye West

by Paul Cashmere, Noise11

Shirley Manson of Garbage and Paul Stanley of KISS have spoken out about Kanye West after the arrogant rapper rudely made a fool of himself at the Grammy Awards when Beck won the award for Album of the Year.

West stormed the stage when Beck was announced as Album of the Year winner, but backed off before taking the microphone. Later backstage, he demanded that the singer-songwriter hand the award over to Beyonce.

Shirley Manson was furious, calling West a “twat” in post to her fans on Facebook:
Dear Kanye West, It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry.

You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.

You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt.

In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.

Grow up and stop throwing your toys around. You are making yourself look like a complete twat.

PS. I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she’s got everything covered perfectly well on her own
Paul Stanley of KISS also had a few words for West saying,
Beck should’ve kicked ‪#‎Kanye‬ right in the nuts last night and said Get the fuck off MY stage! The GRAMMYs ‪#‎grammys‬.
It is important to put The Grammy Awards into perspective. The Grammy Awards are not the ARIAs or the Logies where street teams and fanzines can sway the votes and turn the show into a rabid fan-driven popularity contest.

West wouldn’t understand that. He only exists in the celebritysphere and is given little oxygen outside of tabloids. Like his wife, he is famous for being famous.

Its unlikely West would have much knowledge of who Beck is or the quality and diversity of his 12 album catalogue dating back 22 years.

West has had seven albums spanning the past 10 years, and clearly values a bank balance over real talent.

Beck's Morning Phase won the prestigious Grammy Album of the Year ahead of Beyonce's Beyonce, Ed Sheeran's X, Sam Smith's In The Lovely Hour and Pharrell Williams' G I R L.

K.W, a Twat?? Yes.
Beyonce has a lot of fans, but with all my respect, I still don't understand her music. I saw her videos, I listening to her music but it doesn't make sense for me. But I respect her fans.
I love The Beatles, but my best friend hate them. C'est la vie!!
