Son of Lou Christie Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Christopher W. Sacco, the son of singer Lou Christie, was killed the morning of Sunday, May 18 while riding his motorcycle in The Woodlands, TX.

There have been questions in recent days as to whether Sacco was, in fact, Christie's son. VVN Music contacted Christie's representatives who stated "I am sorry to confirm that this is true."

Sacco was riding his 1971 Triumph motorcycle and making a right onto the Woodlands Parkway when he was hit by a 2014 Audi driven by a 19-year-old. He was thrown from the motorcycle into a nearby ditch. Sacco was 46.

A fund has been set up on YouCaring.com where it states that Sacco was a single father and that his minor son, Seth, is without support. Money donated to the fund will go to Seth's education and, according to the fund page, "100% of the management of the trust has been donated so every dollar you give will go for the living expenses and education of Seth."

Christie has made no public statement on his son's death.

Lou Christie is best known for his 1965 number 1 record Lighting Strikes. He also had top twenty hits with Two Faces Have I (1963 / #6), Rhapsody in the Rain (1966 / #16) and I'm Gonna Make You Mine (1969 / #10).
