Courtney Love Reuniting the Mid-90's Era Hole

Hole in 1995
Courtney Love has told the site The Quietus that she, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Eric Erlandson and Patty Schemel are currently rehearsing new material for a Hole reunion.

A full length feature is coming to the publication soon with a Love interview, but they have revealed that Love said "I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was. We already played like three or four times in the last week."

The four were together from 1994 when Maur joined the band to 1998 when Schmel left. While they are one of the most popular lineups of the group, they never appeared together on a Hole album. 1994's Live Through This includes Love, Erlandson and Schemel but Kristen Pfaff on bass. The four are listed as the members on the group's biggest album, Celebrity Skin, but the drums were actually played by Deen Castronovo and not Schmel.

In 2011, the four members did reunite for a screening of a documentary on Schemel and again in 2012 for a couple of songs at a show in Brooklyn.

Love is on track to release a new single, Wedding Day, prior to her May tour of the U.K.  The dates:
