Frank Sinatra's Capitol and Reprise Catalogs United Under One Company

The career of Frank Sinatra was spread over three labels, Columbia in the 40's where he made his big band recordings, Capitol in the 50's where he became the musical genius with the help of conductor/arrangers Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Gordon Jenkins, and his own label, Reprise, from the 60's forward.

The bulk of the Sinatra catalog, from Capitol and Reprise, will now be handled in one place as Universal Music Group (UMG) has licensed Frank's Reprise recordings from Frank Sinatra Enterprises. Capitol is also part of UMG so, moving forward towards the 2015 100th anniversary of Sinatra's birth, UMG will be republishing the catalog under the Signature Sinatra imprint.

Lucien Grange, Chairman and CEO of UMG, said "Frank Sinatra's music is iconic and enduring, and we are honored to be selected to build on our success working with FSE and the Sinatra family with exciting and innovative products marking the centennial celebration under a new 'Signature Sinatra' imprint worthy of his rich legacy."

Max Hole, Chairman and CEO of UMG International, added "The Sinatra sound appeals to the broadest range of music lovers in every corner of the world, spanning generations. By combining the Reprise and Capitol collections for the first time ever, this expanded relationship not only offers opportunities to create a whole new slate of offerings but also will keep the 'Chairman of the Board's' great legacy shining bright."

From Frank's children, Nancy, Frank Jr. and Tina: "We today approach the Sinatra Centennial with an opportunity to showcase our father's prodigious body of work to a world of new and loyal fans."
