Chart Watch Britain: Alison Moyet Debuts at Number 5; Joe Satriani and Bonnie Tyler Score Multi-Decade Bests

Alison Moyet shoots to number 5 on the U.K. album chart with the minutes, here highest charting album since 1987. The former Yaz/Yazoo singer has released a total of eight solo albums but it was her second, Raindancing, that last reached these heights, peaking at number 2. the minutes is her first release on Cooking Vinyl Records.

Joe Satriani  debuts at number 44 with Unstoppable Momentum, his first album to chart in the U.K. since 1998's Crystal Planet.

Bonnie Tyler also has her first charting album in Britain in a long period which, for her, is 26 years. Rocks and Honey premiers at 52. Her last charting album was 1988's Hide Your Heart which reached 78. Prior to that, 1986's Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire peaked at 24.

Finally, at 75, is Killing Joke's The Singles Collection 1979-2012.

Last week's biggest album by a veteran artist, Deep Purple's Now What?!, plunges from 19 to 69.
