Former AC/DC Bassist Mark Evans Sells Gold Record For $4,200

Mark Evans, former bassist with AC/DC, has sold his High Voltage gold record award for $4200.

Evans auctioned his French gold record award to raise funds for the Sydney Secondary College Balmain campus girls soccer team.

The school is sending the team to Hawaii to compete next month and Evans put up his coveted award to help them on their way.

The award was given to Evans by Atlantic Records for 100,000 sales of the AC/DC album High Voltage in France.

Evans was the bass player for AC/DC from March 1975 to June 1977. He played on the albums TNT, High Voltage, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Let There Be Rock and Jailbreak 74.

Oh dear above Anonymous, you sound like a bitter and jilted ex-lover or something. You obviously do not know the guy. Carrying a chip on your shoulder by the sounds of things - you may want to get that checked. Or Angus is that you?
