Two Veteran Artists to Hit Dance Floor With the Stars

Two veteran artists are getting ready to hit the dance floor on the new season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Gladys Knight has been paired up with dancer Tristan MacManus. Knight, who is 67, has conquered the worlds of music and acting and now looks to add dancing to her resume. She is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with her group the Pips (William Guest, Merald "Bubba" Knight, Edward Patten) who had eight top ten hits including the chart topper Midnight Train to Georgia. Knight, without her group, also hit number 1 as part of the ensemble on That's What Friends Are For.

The other veteran is soap actor/singer Jack Wagner who is paired with Anna Trebunskaya. Wagner scored a major hit in 1984 with All I Need (#2 Pop/#1 Adult Contemporary) and two additional AC hits in the following years (Too Young (1985/#52 Pop/#15 Adult Contemporary) and Love Can Take Us Away (1986/#15 Adult Contemporary)).

Also from the world of music is Gavin DeGraw whose hits include I Don't Want to Be, In Love With the Girl and Not Over You and opera singer Katherine Jenkins. The others cast for this season are Green Bay Packer Donald Driver, former Family Matters star Jaleel White, Extra host Maria Menouos, former tennis legend Martina Navratilova, actress Melissa Gilbert, Disney star Roshon Fegan, View host Sherri Shepherd and actor William Levy.
