Seger Officially Announces He Will Tour

Live BulletAfter yesterday's teaser video, Bob Seger has come out and officially announced that he will be touring for the first time in 4-1/2 years and that a new album is coming.

The press release stated "Fans can expect to see and hear Seger’s timeless classics like 'Night Moves' and 'Old Time Rock & Roll' alongside a preview of new songs from his forthcoming as yet untitled new release."

No dates or locations have been announced but, as we said yesterday, there is a flash of a map in the video that shows the states of Michigan, Ohio, Massachusetts, New York and Missouri highlighted.  In addition, the video yesterday was posted by Live Nation St. Louis, which could be an indication of the location for the show in Missouri.

According to Rolling Stone, the extent of the tour is not known although Seger's drummer, Don Brewer, is also the drummer for Grand Funk Railroad who only has three shows booked between March and May.

The site has also updated yesterday's teaser video with additional footage.
