Chart Watch Canada: July 16, 2009

Our weekly recap of veteran artists on the current Canadian music charts. Chart highlights:
  • Sales of Michael Jackson records may be easing slightly in the U.K. and Australia, but they have grown in Canada to the point where he now has 14 of the Top 100 Albums (11 last week) including seven of the top ten. On the R&B Albums chart, Jackson stays consistent with 16 of the top 50. Finally, on the Top 40 Digital Downloads chart, his total has moved from 10 to 15, including U.S.A. for Africa's We Are the World.
  • There are only three premiers on the Album chart this week and they are by...surprise!...Michael Jackson. Ultimate Collection debuts at 29, Gold by the Jackson 5 starts at 59 and the Jackson 5's Ultimate Collection premiers at 87.
Previous week position noted in parenthesis.
