Springsteen Turns in Longest Today Show Concert

NBC's Today Show Concert Series usually consists of three to four songs by an artist between the 8:30 and 9:00 AM news breaks. Friday morning, Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band pushed well over that limit to perform seven songs for one of the biggest audiences to ever attend a Today Show event.

Executive producer Jim Bell told Rolling Stone that Springsteen was only scheduled to perform four songs but he "is known for playing longer than scheduled, so we were prepared."

The seven song set:
  • The Promised Land
  • Radio Nowhere
  • Livin' for the Future
  • My Hometown
  • Night
  • Last to Die
  • Long Walk Home
