Short Takes - Bruce Springsteen, Willie Tee

E Street Radio is returning to Sirius Satellite Radio starting September 27 and running through late March. The station (channel 10) will feature the music of Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band.

Graham Nash, David Crosby, Jackson Browne and the John Hall Band will all participate in Pray for Peace, a concert and prayer ceremony, set for October 16 at the Washington National Cathedral. The program will be "An interfaith meditation on world peace featuring intimate acoustic performances and special reflections."

Nashville musician Wilson "Willie Tee" Turbinton passed away back on September 11 at the age of 63.

Turbinton and Aaron Neville were childhood friends who stayed close throughout their lives. He recorded from the mid-60's forward under the name of Willie Tee but without much national success. His only charting hit was Teasin' Me, which peaked at number 12 on the R&B charts in 1965.

He remains popular as part of the Beach Music circuit on the east coast and his music has been extensively sampled for rap songs.
