Chart Watch - September 28, 2007

Our weekly recap of classic artists on the current music charts. Chart highlights:
  • After 19 tries, Reba McEntire finally makes number one on the Pop Albums chart with Duets. Prior to this, her highest charting album was Read My Mind, which peaked at number two in 1995.
  • Mark Knopfler's Kill to Get Crimson has a nice premier in the U.S. at number 26, but it's doing even better in his native England at it starts out as the highest ranked album by a classic artist at number nine.
  • The English Album chart also sees the return of long-time favorite Status Quo at number fifteen with In Search of the Fourth Chord.
  • The re-released Greatest by the Bee Gees leaps to number one on the Pop Catalog Albums chart.
