Chris Stapleton & Miranda Lambert Top ACM Award Winners; Keith Urban Takes Collaboration

by VVN Music

The awards were spread around pretty evenly among a large group of artists on Sunday (April 15) night's ACM Awards.

The closest anyone came to domination were two artists with two awards each. The absent Chris Stapleton, who was at the birth of his twins on his 40th birthday, won the Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for From a Room, Vol. 1.

Then there was Miranda Lambert who won her ninth Female Vocalist of the Year award in a row along with Song of the Year for "Tin Man". These were her 29th and 30th ACM Awards, the most by any artist in the award's 53 year history.

Jason Aldean also won his third straight Entertainer of the Year while Single of the Year went to "Body Like a Back Road" by Sam Hunt.

As far as veteran artists go, Keith Urban was the only winner, taking Vocal Event of the Year with Carrie Underwood for "The Fighter".
