  • 1967 - It was announced that Steve and Muff Winwood would be leaving the Spencer Davis Group in early April. 
  • 1970 - Janis Joplin was fined $200 in Tampa, FL for using obscene language during a 1969 show. 
  • 1973 - Pink Floyd opened a 19 date North American tour in Madison, WI.
  • 1978 - The IRS raided Jerry Lee Lewis' home, taking $170,000 worth of cars to settle a tax debt. 
  • 1979 - Randy Jackson of the Jackson 5 was almost killed in a car accident. To make matters worse, a nurse accidentally injected him with methadone. 
  • 1980 - Coal Miner's Daughter, the movie version of Loretta Lynn's autobiography, premiered in Nashville.
  • 1982 - Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa formed the band Fred Zeppelin.
  • 1993 - Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown became the parents of Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.
  • 1993 - Patti LaBelle received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 
  • 1999 - Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham and David Beckham became parents for the first time.
