  • 1968 - John and Cynthia Lennon and George and Patti Harrison go to India to study with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
  • 1969 - Vickie Jones was arrested for impersonating Aretha Franklin at a Fort Myers, FL concert.
  • 1970 - The Daughters of the American Revolution banned rock shows from Constitution Hall in Washington after a riot at a Sly & the Family Stone concert was touched off by the group being five hours late.
  • 1976 - Bette Midler has to bail out members of her crew after they are arrested for cocaine and marijuana possession.
  • 1977 - Glen Matlock was fired from the Sex Pistols. He was replaced by Sid Vicious.
  • 1988 - Def Leppard cancelled a show in El Paso after Jo Elliott referred to the town as "the place with all those greasy Mexicans."
  • 1991 - A $25 million palimony suit was filed against Rod Stewart by ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg.
  • 1998 - The Rolling Stones played the last show of their Bridges to Babylon tour in Las Vegas.
  • 2001 - David Lee Roth sued VanHalenStore.com to stop them from selling products that have his image.
  • 2001 - George Harrison took part in the first ever on-line chat on Yahoo Chat.
  • 2002 - Tommy Lee was sued by the parents of a child who drowned in Lee's pool.
  • 2002 - Waylon Jennings was laid to rest in Mesa, AZ.
  • 2005 - Michael Jackson was taken to the hospital suffering from the flu. His trial on child molestation charges is put on hold.
  • 2006 - The gravesite of Bon Scott of AC/DC was given heritage status.
  • 2008 - Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was announced.
  • 2013 - Chubby Checker sued Hewlett-Packard over an app on their phones and tablets that used his name.
