The Most Read Stories of 2017 at VVN Music

When you are a niche site like VVN Music, in our case concentrating on the music artists that have been recording for twenty years or more, you never know what articles are going to become popular.

The big stories in the music world will almost always be covered first by the big sites like Rolling Stone but it's the smaller stories on artists who are fondly remembered but, perhaps, not in the current forefront of music, and the odder stories about major artists, that attract the most readers.

Plus, unfortunately, death sells. As Don Henley wrote almost forty years ago, "Can we film the operation? Is the head dead yet? You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet".  The artists of the first three decades of the rock era are getting older, more and more are becoming ill or passing away and people have a natural curiosity about those that they followed and provide their musical memories.
