Ringo Starr Announces New Album on 77th Birthday

Today is happy 77th birthday for Ringo Starr and he celebrated the day by announcing his new album, Give More Love.

His 19th solo studio album, Give Me Love will be released on September 15 via Roccabella/UMe and contains ten new tracks along with four new versions of some of Ringo's older songs.

Recorded at his home studio in Los Angeles, the album includes collaborations with Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Peter Frampton, Dave Stewart, Richard Marx, Timothy B. Schmidt and a number of other artists:
  • We’re On The Road Again - featuring Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather
  • Laughable - co-written and performed with Peter Frampton as well as Benmont Tench, Timothy B Schmidt, Richard Page and Amy Keys
  • Show Me The Way - co-written and performed with Steve Lukather and with Paul McCartney
  • Speed of Sound - co-written with Richard Marx and featuring Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton and Nathan East
  • Standing Still - co-written with Gary Burr
  • King of the Kingdom - including performances by Dave Stewart and Edgar Winter
  • Electricity - co-written with Glen Ballard and featuring Joe Walsh and Don Was
  • So Wrong For So Long - co written and performed with Dave Stewart
  • Shake It Up - co written and performed with Gary Nicholson and including Don Was and Edgar Winter
  • Give More Love - co-written with Gary Nicholson including Timothy B Schmidt and All Starrs Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette
The bonus tracks:
  • Back Off Booglaloo - based on the original recording Ringo made when he wrote the song. He recently discovered the tape when he moved houses
  • Don't Pass Me By
  • You Can't Fight Lightning - featuring Alberta Cross

Ringo will also be bringing his All-Starr Band, featuring Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette, back to the U.S. for a tour in October which will include a residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
