Steven Van Zandt Partners With Ronald McDonald House

by VVN Music

Long-time E-Street Band member, solo artist and actor Steven Van Zandt has partnered with Ronald McDonald House New York as an official friend and ambassador for the house.

Ronald McDonald House is an independent charity that was first started in 1974 and has, since then, built 365 houses in 42 countries that cater to children suffering from cancer and their families along with 214 Ronald McDonald Rooms in facilities in 24 countries to provide a safe place for families to rest while their children are being treated.

Van Zandt will promote the work of the House and also provide unique mentorship to the cancer stricken children of the organization. As a partner of the house, he will provide the children with access to musical activities and events throughout 2017.

Steven said "I believe that being part of a band is special and that music can sometimes have healing powers. Through my partnership with the House, I am hoping that I can share this power and love for music with the people that need it most."

Ruth C. Browne, President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House, said "The House has always been blessed with great friends that help amplify our work here locally in New York. With the help of other friends like Stevie, we are able to raise awareness for all the programs the House has to offer and help keep families close."

Van Zandt will make a formal announcement about the partnership at the Heroes Volunteer Event on June 20 at Guastavino's in New York. He will also be presenting a special gift to the New York Ronald McDonald House's children.

Little Steven's new album, Soulfire, will be out on May 19.
