Donald Fagen Taking New Band, the Nightflyers, On the Road In August & September

by VVN Music

Donald Fagen has a new "special project" called The Nightflyers which he is touring with in August and September.

In essence, it appears the Nightflyers are a new solo band for the Steely Dan singer who is promising a tour with music from his solo albums, Steely Dan and "some swell surprises".

Steely Dan have been touring regularly the last few years but only have a few dates left for 2017. They are at the Santa Barbara (CA) Bowl tomorrow night, play three shows in Las Vegas from April 26 to 29 and have the Greenwich (CT) Town Party on May 27. The band will also appear at the Classic East and West festivals.

The new Nightflyers band is made up of four musicians with which Fagen has been working for a couple of years who have also appeared without the singer at clubs along the Hudson Valley. The members are Connor Kennedy (guitar, vocals), Lee Falco (drums, vocals), Brandon Morrison (bass, vocals) and Will Bryant (keyboards, vocals).
