The VVN Music Podcast With Tracy Nelson

by VVN Music

Tracy Nelson has spent over fifty years in the music business, going back to her debut album, Deep Are the Roots (1964), which she recorded while still in college.

After a time spent around the Chicago blues bar scene, she moved to California where she formed the band Mother Earth.  Her six albums with the band and over a dozen solo released cover a wide variety of musical genres.

Nelson's latest project is The Blues Broads with Dorothy Morrison, the original lead on the Edwin Hawkins Singer's Oh Happy Day, Angela Strehli and Annie Sampson.

This interview was originally recorded in 2012 when the Blues Broads released their debut CD and DVD.
