The Scorpions to Tour North America With Megadeth

 by VVN Music

The Scorpions have set a month long tour of the North America for early fall and are bringing along Megadeth.

The North American Crazy World tour salutes the band's 1990 album Crazy World which was the last that would include the band's entire classic lineup. Bassist Francis Buchholz left the band after the supporting tour.

Crazy World contained their biggest hit in the U.S., Wind of Change (1991 / #4) but the album didn't do as well as their three previous releases (Blackout (1982 / #10), Love at First Sting (1984 / #6) and Savage Amusement (1988 / #5)), only reaching number 21.  Where the album did shine was in their home country of Germany where it became their only chart topper.

Vocalist Klaus Meine said "When our album Crazy World was released back in '91, right at the end of the cold war, we toured around a world that was pretty crazy back then, but there was so much hope in the air for a more peaceful future. Now 26 years later, things are getting more crazy every other day. After all these years, Crazy World is still a good motto for our upcoming world tour. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of you out there."

The Scopions' latest album is Return to Forever (2015) while tourmates Megadeth released Dystopia was released in January 2016.
