The Eagles Will Perform Again; Organizing Two Festivals With Fleetwood Mac

by VVN Music

When Glenn Frey died early last year, it was assumed that it was the end of the Eagles. He and Don Henley were the only remaining members from the original lineup still in the group and, with Frey being so integral to so much of the band's material, people felt the best thing to do would be to put the band to rest.

This summer, the Eagles with return along with Fleetwood Mac for two festivals, one on each coast. Classic East will be held at Citi Field in New York while Classic West will be at Dodgers Stadium in L.A. on yet to be determined dates according to both Billboard, who broke the story, and Rolling Stone who had it confirmed by sources.

The festivals will, reportedly, be two days in each city with a number of additional acts yet to be announced. There is hope that these will become annual events. Billboard also reports that a number of big names in the concert industry are involved including MSG Entertainment, Live Nation, the Oak View Group and CAA.

The viability of big classic artist festivals was proven last October when Desert Trip was held in Indio, CA with the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters and The Who.
