Sia Nominated For Three APRA Awards

by VVN Music

Sia just keeps collecting acolades. The singer, who struggled for eleven years before finally breaking in the U.S. and Australia with Some People Have Real Problems (2008), already has seven APRA awards and has the chance to win two more with three nominations for Alive (Pop Work of the Year) and Cheap Thrill (Pop Work and Most Played Australian Work of the Year).

Flume (aka Harley Streten) has the most nominations with four in two categories. Modern artists The Hilltop Hoods, The Veronicas, Nick Murphy (formerly known as Chet Faker) and Troye Sivan each have two.

APRA, which stands for the Australian Performing Rights Organization, is the country's songwriting group equivalent to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC in the U..S.
