Paul Simon Sets First Sixteen Dates for 2017, Disproves His Talk of Retirement

by VVN Music

Last June, Paul Simon told the New York Times that "Showbiz doesn’t hold any interest for me. None" and that the end was near for his music career. There was even talk that his July 1, 2016 show at Forest Hills Stadium would be his final one on U.S. soil.

Monday, that all seemed to be mindless speculation on Simon's part as he announced sixteen dates for June, all in the U.S.

The tour, which starts on June 1 in St. Augustine, FL and runs through June 28 in Denver, CO, is in continued support for his Stranger to Stranger album which gave him his highest charting set in thirty years last June.
