John Mellencamp and Darius Rucker Join Forces For New CMT Crossroads

by VVN Music

In the fifteen years and 58 previous episodes of CMT's Crossroads, it has been rare for two veteran artists to appear on the same program.

The series of specials, which pairs a country artist with, normally, an artist from another genre, has tended towards a modern and a veteran act or two modern acts.

For their 59th edition, set to air March 24, two veterans are getting together with John Mellencamp and Darius Rucker.

Also a rarity is the venue where the show was recorded. While most Crossroads shows are shot in a studio, the Mellencamp/Rucker program was done at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on February 24.

Expect performances of Mellencamp classics Pink Houses and Cherry Bomb along with the song Grandview from his new album Sad Clowns & Hillbillies. Rucker songs include Alright, Wagon Wheel, If I Told You and the Hootie and the Blowfish song Hold My Hand.
