ZZ Top Expands Their Tonnage Tour

by VVN Music

ZZ Top have added 21 dates to their ongoing Tonnage Tour spanning the North American east coast and mid-section.

The Tonnage Tour started last Saturday night in Mobile, AL and had scheduled dates through mid-March.  After a two month break, the band hits the road again starting on May 12 in Amarillo, TX and running through June 10 in Frisco, TX.

Billy Gibbons said about the new tour, "The run is Tex-centric, just like ourselves, and the band is looking forward to getting our heads in Mississippi, and points beyond. After four decades, we believe we're beginning to get the hang of it, so a mighty good time will be enjoyed by all."

ZZ Top is one of the longest running active bands that retains its biggest lineup. While there were three other members of the group in its very earliest incarnation, they only lasted a few months and the lineup of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard has been in place for 48 years.
