UPDATE 2/28/17, 7:45 PM

Both Billboard and TMZ are reporting that the replacement for Beyonce will be Lady Gaga, although, once again, there is no confirmation at this time.

There are rumors flying that Daft Punk will be the choice to replace Beyonce at this year's Coachella Festival.

Beyonce pulled out of one of the three headliner spots at this year's two-weekend festival last week due to her expecting twins. It was confirmed, at the same time, that she would be headlining in 2018.

Now, Playboy is reporting that their inside sources and bookmakers, who also have the inside line, are saying that Daft Punk will be playing on the evenings of April 15 and April 22. The magazine adds that a well place source also said that the band are getting ready to announce a major tour.

In May, it will be four years since the release of their Grammy winning Album of the Year Random Access Memories; however, they never toured behind the album. While it isn't being said that this is specifically a tour for the album, rest assured that there will be a lot of the album in the set list.

Daft Punk released their first single, The New Wave, in 1994 but didn't put out an album until 1997's Homework. Since then, they have only released three more studio albums (Discovery (2001), Human After All (2005), Random Access Memories (2013)). They've topped the U.S. Dance chart eight times with Da Funk (1995), Around the World (1997), One More Time (2000), Face to Face (2003), Derezzed (2010), Get Lucky (2013) and Lose Yourself to Dance (2013) and Derezzed (Avicii So Amazing Mix) (2014).
