Tanya Tucker has been forced to postpone a number of dates while she recovers from injuries suffered in a fall.

Tucker fractured a vertebra and injured a rib in the accident, sending her to the hospital where she also found out that she had bronchitis. According to her management, she is receiving breathing treatments and physical therapy. She is not expected to need surgery.

Tanya was also hospitalize in October with an upper respiratory tract infection.

Always feisty, Tucker released a statement saying "We’ve been having a blast with the band and fans on the road and I’m so mad this happened. I was really looking forward to seeing all the Okies and fans in Kansas this week, but we have to postpone the shows. I’ll do my very best to make it up for y’all. Let’s hope for no more accidents this year and I look forward to a great 2017."

So far, she has postponed dates at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa yesterday, along with shows at the Emporia Granada Theater in Emporium, KS and the Choctaw Event Center in Grant, OK. Her next appearance is the Country Music Cruise from January 27 to February 3.

Tucker had her first hit at the age of 13 with Delta Dawn. She has had 40 top ten country hits including ten that went to number 1.
