Vintage Video: Performances Over the Years by George Michael

by VVN Music

With the passing of George Michael, we've lost one of the best singers, songwriters and performers to come out of the 80's.

While his career was cut short in the U.S. after his 1996 arrest in Los Angeles, he continued to be popular in the U.K., putting together 33 top ten hits with Wham! and solo between 1982 and 2004. As for albums, every original Wham! and George Michael solo album went to the top two in Britain with six hitting number 1 and two peaking at number 2.

Beyond the charts, Michael was an amazing entertainer. We've gathered a number of live performances (well, a couple are lip-synced) showing the transition that George made from teen heartthrob to sophisticated adult entertainer over the years.

I Knew Your Were Waiting For Me with Aretha Franklin (Official Video, 1987)

Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me with Elton John (Live, Official Video, 1991)
